Volunteer opportunities
We have two media volunteer opportunities available.
Monthly Blogger
We are looking for a fourth woman to join our blog team.
This will involve writing a 500-800 word article once a month with the purpose of bringing a more respectful, thought-provoking, authentically pro-woman perspective to important women's issues (in accordance with our values and guidelines).
Issues of interest include: abortion, gender, surrogacy, IVF, contraception, egg-freezing, pre-natal screening, gendercide, miscarriage/stillbirth, domestic violence, homelessness, assisted suicide, prostitution, trafficking, pornography, sexualisation, self-estee
m/self-worth, body image, child marriage, work-life balance, motherhood, family, feminism, etc.
We are also interested in women who may not have the capacity to write every month, but who would like to write a one-off piece.
Social Media Officer
We are looking for a social media star to help us promote authentically pro-woman ideas and grow our social media profile (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and eventually, Instagram).
This will require identifying and sharing relevant articles, videos, images, events and initiatives to our social media pages, regarding current affairs or new research relating to important issues affecting women (including respectful, thought-provoking commentary). The ability to create new and engaging content is also desirable.
**Previous writing/social media experience are preferred, but we are also keen to mentor women who are passionate about our work and are interested in being involved**
